Child Development
The course focuses on family, parenting , and human development from its beginning stages of conception and birth through age four. It is an important introduction to the study of children for those students interested in Early Childhood Education, teaching , nursing, social services or the child care profession. Students will study the importance of high quality prenatal care to birth outcome, along with the physical, intellectual, social and emotional development of the young child. Students will also complete a study of children's literature to help develop an appreciation for reading and enjoying books with small children. |
